Lo Kirmil

Lo Kirmil is a 200-Hour RYT with an additional 210 hours of yogic studies in philosophical theology and pranayama.

An avid student of the restorative modality, Lo draws inspiration for her Restorative and slow flow yoga classes from classic restorative teachers like Judith Lasater as well as a more modern restorative lineage from Kaya Mindlin called Supreme Release Yoga (SRY). Weaving concepts of stillness, child-like play, self-massage, pranayama, and tasteful music, Lo's classes are intuitive and easeful allowing students to relax, explore the subtle realms of their bodies and minds, and feel deeply connected to their hearts and communities.

She would describe her teaching style as 'verbally hands off, physically hands on'. She doesn't typically offer 'dharma talks' in her class, but instead uses healing touch and loving kindness to draw intentionality and epiphany out of her students.

She ends each class with a brief song on the harmonium and a rolling wave of student-participated OMs.

Lo Kirmil instructs the following:
  • Restorative Yoga with Musician
  • Restorative is a passive practice using props (such as blankets and bolsters) to facilitate deep relaxation in each pose. The class is floor-based and may include poses such as forward folds, gentle twists, and gentle backbends. Poses are generally held passively for about 5 to 7 minutes, to allow for students to unwind and restore. This is class is great for anyone and everyone seeking balance and relaxation from a busy lifestyle.

This class is accompanied by a live musician!
