Wellness Schedule

 

 

 

All Wellness Open Hour sessions include the use of all offerings in our wellness garden. Simply pick your preferred time and check in at the front desk to receive your complimentary small towel.

 

The complimentary small towel is to be used to sit on in the sauna. Full size towels can be rented for $4. 


We recommend bringing:

A full size towel
A water bottle
Swimwear
Loose-fitting clothing to change into after your session
Optional: Electrolyte drink mix (Also available at the front desk for $2.99)

 

If you sign up for a class, but need to cancel, you must cancel 4 hours prior to class time to avoid a $15 late cancellation fee. We suggest pre-registration for all classes, which you can do on this page or on the Mindbody app. This is also where you can cancel your class reservation, as long as it is before 4 hours to class start time, to avoid a $15 late cancel fee.

Sauna

Riffs is all about building community and the sauna is a perfect place to connect with others! We built a high-end 18-person traditional sauna. There are mountains of studies on the benefits of a regular traditional sauna practice including improved circulation, pain relief, reduced risk of cardiovascular disease, improved skin, boosted immune system, reduces stress, amongst many others.

 

Why traditional over infrared? Though infrared sauna's are trending and cheaper to build, they are less effective in a larger room and there is much less studied evidence of longterm health benefits compared to traditional. We are team traditional and went big on our high-end custom sauna!

 

Cold Plunge

Cold plunging is the practice of sitting in extremely cold water for 3 minutes. There are many benefits of doing this practice, including weight loss, improved circulation, pain relief, reduced inflammation, enhanced recovery, increased energy and alertness, improved mood, better sleep, reduced stress, and boosted resilience. 

 

For most of us, cold plunging is NOT FUN! The water is very cold, between 38-45 degrees, and is supposed to be very uncomfortable. The body will go into a state of stress, and it is your practice to stay calm and breath through it. Not only are the physical health benefits worth the few minutes of discomfort, the ability to remain calm in a time of stress is a practice for maintaining peace in states of crisis in the real world. Our plunges are chlorine free, cleaned with ozone, and are hand crafted in San Diego. 

 

Red Light Therapy

Our top of the line red light panel has with red light and NIR (near infrared) frequencies, both shown to have different benefits. Our red light frequencies (630-660nm) improve skin health, heal wounds, reduce inflammation, improve circulation, improve mood and sleep, aid in muscle recovery, and promote bone health.

 

The NIR frequencies (810-830nm) penetrate deeper into the skin and can promote deep tissue healing, pain relief, joint health, brain health, promote injury recovery, and booth metabolism.
