Alyssa Allen
With her free spirit and lion heart, Alyssa is continuously humbled as a student of Yoga. She has
recognized her practice as a reflection of her daily life; embracing constant reminders to integrate the
breath through it all. She completed her 200-hour teacher training in the Classical Hatha Yoga style at
The San Diego School of Healing Arts. Over the years she has become an E-RYT and has led numerous
teacher trainings at the Maui Yoga Shala. Her studies include many different styles of yoga, deeming
Anusara, a branch of Hatha Yoga, to be a deep passion of hers. This is revealed in her classes as she honors the importance of aligning the body, heart, and mind to absorb a sense of grace through these
transformational experiences on the mat. Alyssa is a mommy and a full-time student working on
finishing her second bachelor’s degree in Ayurvedic health and integrative wellness. She works with
clients on healing their bodies from within and is a distributor for Kangen water.
Gaby Maldonado
Growing up immersed in a temperate rainforest at the base of Mt. Hood in Oregon, Gaby found herself surrounded by yoga at a young age. Introduced to it by her mom who held space for yoga gatherings in their living room for friends to take shelter during the rains, Gaby was joining in at the age of 3 and often incorporated poses and shapes from her Sesame Street alphabet book. As time went on, her studies of yoga deepened and her practice expanded past asanas and pranayama. Completing her RYT 200 in 2013, a 100hr Yin training in 2023, and currently enrolled in a RYT 300 program, Gaby intends to continue studying yoga formally and informally for the rest of her journey through this life. The grounding elements of the natural world are a primary source of inspiration in this worldly teacher's classes as well as for her life off the mat. Having taught studio classes in the U.S., Mexico, and Nicaragua, Gaby remains open to the next adventure where the ocean waves meet the mat so she can combine her love of surfing with the love of sharing yoga. Whether it be Yin, Vinyasa, Hatha, or a Slow Flow, Gaby's classes are often a combination of alignment, philosophy and reverence for the Vedic roots of yoga. Her smile and radiant positivity will keep you encouraged to come back to your mat, your breath and yourself, again and again.

Summer Chevalier
My name is Summer Chevalier and I have been teaching Yoga Asana for 5 years.
In 2014, I graduated high school and transitioned from a very active
lifestyle, to having no physical outlets I felt connected to in my
first year at college at PLNU.
I had moved from my hometown of Santa Clarita, and I felt lost and
disconnected from my body. I struggled staying present and engaging
with my new community in OB.

Being introduced to movement based meditation in the form of Yoga
Asana impacted my body and mind in such a positive way, I decided to
dedicate my life to my practice. I left my nursing studies to
eventually explore yoga teacher training in 2019.
Since then I have enjoyed sharing one-on-one offerings with loved
ones, however I've discovered that I feel most grounded in a studio
setting, surrounded by community.

Honoring the traditional roots of our practice is very important to me
as a teacher. Honoring the Hatha, or effort, in stillness; is a common
theme in my class. As is our Pranayama, our breath, our life force; I
believe each breath is cause for celebration. You can count on me to
always leave room for organic movement and modification.

Studying the Yoga Sutras as translated by Patanjali truly grounded me
to the spiritual realm of my practice. I firmly believe that a
practice is meant to be imperfect, and that the most important Asana
is Savasana!

I like to move slowly and fluidly, building heat in the body while
maintaining organic rhythm. The integration of music into my flow is
very important to me, as I truly believe music helps keep us grounded,
and keeps our hearts and minds open and playful.

I am grateful to be a new member of the Bird Rock and OB Riffs community <3

You can also find me over at @Grl Swirl, leading the San Diego
chapter, hosting group skates holding space for women and other
marginalized skaters.
Om Shanti Shanti Shanti!

Nabila Katyana
Hi, my name is Nabila!

I started my Yoga journey back in 2018 and I practice Vinyasa Yoga and Meditation. After my big move from Indonesia to San Diego in 2022, I decided to take my passion for Yoga further and took my 200hr Yoga Teacher Training here in San Diego.

Yoga is a safe space for me, it connects me more to myself and the people around me, it also teaches me resilience and mindfulness. My classes would offer students a safe space to grow physically and emotionally.
I would love to guide you through a safe, strong & fun practice :)

Olivia Trinh
Olivia, a native Texan, started her yoga journey about 10 years ago when she took her first hot yoga class at the gym.

Drawn to the mat, initially her interest sparked from the physical benefits, discovering eventually the profound mental benefits as well.

Certified with a 200 Registered Hour Yoga Teacher credential from Uptown Yoga, Dallas, and trained in Aerial Yoga at Trilogy Sanctuary, San Diego, Olivia offers a spectrum of styles, including Vinyasa Flow, Yin Yoga, and Aerial Yoga.

It truly brings me joy to share this practice and hold space for others on this journey if harmonizing the mind, body, and spirit.
